Start of the training "Getting Digitally Smart"
From April to June 2018, the blended learning offer for professionals working with vulnerable young people was piloted in the three partner countries. Participants from various areas of social, child and youth work tested and evaluated the contents of the training on a total of nine different topics: Social media, digital curiosities, cyberbullying, gaming, coding, e-participation, algorithms, digital rights & obligations, data protection.
The aim of this training is to expand the professionals’ own competences in the field of digitisation, to use them in their daily work and to pass them on to the children and young people they work with. Throughout the entire piloting phase, the professionals were accompanied by an e-tutor who provides feedback and technical assistance. Participants had also the possibility to exchange ideas and share their practical experience with each other.
After the evaluation of this piloting phase, the blended learning training will be presented to various national stakeholders and decision-makers in autumn 2018 to discuss how such a training offer can be integrated in existing non-formal educational structures.
